- 238 participants at the second Ski -Nostalgia Worldcup in Leogang
- Clear Victory for the residents of Leogang!
- Franz Deisenberger is Worldchampion!!!
The Nostalgic Ski World Championship is an unique sportsevent amidst the most beautiful skiregion in Salzburg - the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang.
With its long wintersportstradition of more than 50 years Leogang is the perfect place for this nostalgic event.
The second Ski Nostalgia Worldcup in Leogang was a great experience for visitors and competitors. Having best weather conditions, there were lots of old fashioned individuals skiing down the slopes with old material. Beside sportive ambitions, the focus lied on fun an action - also big crashes got off lightly
Track: a 3,5 km long Descent with a difference in altitude of 1.000m at the "Fernlauf" and a 250m long Descent at the "Torlauf". Hundreds of enthusiastic visitors were on the edge of their seats crying to the athlets.
More than 238 starters from 5 nations on Saturday at the Fernlauf and on Sunday at the Torlauf were fighting for the Worldchampion-title. In spite of freezy temperatures at the pricegiving there was a great atmosphere (due to schnaps and mulled wine g).
Mag. Deisenberger Franz from Leogang is Nostalgia Worldchampion 2006 in the category "skis with steel edges".
As soon as there are new informations about the next Nostalgic Ski World Championship available you will find them here on this page. In the meantime we want to show you a little review of the passed event. www.nostalgieskiwm.com
